James,

An honest question for you.....

Is it wrong(or a sign of a lack of faith) if one questions their chosen religion?

What I mean by that, is do you thinkg God is displeased if one looks at all angles/aspects of their religion? I don't mean that you should look at changing or beliefs or you should look for reasons to lose faith. that is not what I am talking about.

What I am talking about is things look and appear differently depending on the attitude or mind set that one has when exploring the subject. Given that, do you think god is displeased if one looks at their beliefs through a open-minded lens? If you were to examine things with a willingness to see things critically as well as positively?

If that is wrong, why? Any subject cn not be fully examined and fully known unless it is examined from all angles. Any aspect not examined is an area of ignorance, that is common sense. Can faith be founded on
a bedrock that is not fully examined? Is that what god truly wants? If so, why?

I am not asking you this question to get you to think critically of your faith., far from it. It is just a question that I have always wondered about, and seemed relevant to the current conversation.
