Toy, as several posters have noticed about you, Sgt Pepper, check your MSFT price predictions at the toy store - that's where they belong.
Never mind my alleged "attitude" and "ego" - try to clean your glasses.
<<MSFT has been trading in the same price ranges since its last strong move in early January. A small [sic!!!] spike in April does not make for a stock that has been out-performing.>>
Jan 14, MSFT stood at 70 (split adjusted). The next day it moved to 74, then 78, and on to the 80's. It traded above the Jan 14 of 70, and in the 80s for almost a month until it hit high 70's in mid Feb again. Then from March 9 through all of April MSFT traded in the 80's and 90's. In May it sold off to high 70's.
Thus, it traded in the 80's or 90's (or in other words, no less than 15-35% above the Jan 14 level) for 51 trading days out of a total of 79 trading days. It has traded up 15-35% for the MAJORITY of the time since mid Jan. It has only sold off badly since it's peak during the last 2-3 weeks. Sure, I myself discussed MSFT's decline from the highs of April, but to say MSFT has been trading flat for MONTHS is simply factually incorrect. **Most** of the time it's been up by 15-35% since mid Jan.
Toy, you always say people here are MSFT cheerleaders. You jeer at people here for “falling in love” with a stock. But you have just as serious a problem, and that is “falling in HATE” with a stock - and in the case of a stock that's historically been only rising, I say it's a bigger problem than falling in love with this stock.
Your weakness is a very common one. You are unable to look at anything past your prejudices. It really doesn't matter to me how much you attempt to “insult” me – I am capable of looking beyond that. I truly appreciate your technical posts, and I learn quite a bit form them. I read those posts of yours, and I find them enlightening and very valuable. I dismiss your ramblings on MSFT price – because I have nothing to learn from them, and those posts are worthless. But my “conflict” with you regarding your silly price posts does not prevent me from learning from your technical posts – I am not too proud to learn from my “adversaries”. You, are unable to correct your weak points, despite clear evidence of devastating failures – catastrophically wrong price predictions on MSFT. So much for egos – yours and mine.
