Regarding the pool, I haven't wanted to hog bandwidth or boor people prematurely with too frequent reports on the standings so early in the contest, but be assured I'm paying attention. The pool was closed with 65 contestants, whose average entry (h/l/c) was 57.2/15.5/49.1.

The top four at yesterday's close were:

1. Mr. Proofsheet, 25/14/23
2. Bernard Levy 24/9/20
3. BrianW 32/15/19
4. crawlingbug 33/16/28

It will take a move to about 27 for cbug to unseat the present top three. The relative standings of Mr. P, B. Levy and BrianW will remain unchanged unless we make a significant new low (which helps Mr. L) or a big advance followed by a drop (needed by Brian W).
