The Dataquest numbers do not include server shipments. IDC is better for worldwide PC shipments. IDC has been more accurate than Dataquest for many quarters of comparisons.

I stand by my ASP estimates and believe them conservative.

MD has stated that the quarter is very solid. He has not been touty all quarter and there is no change in attitude in April on the part of DELL.
There is news, however, from IDC and DQ that indicates that DELL is doing much better than in Q4 and is picking up marketshare.

The evidence that you have for April being weaker than January is at best very weak. For you to tout your bearish position on such flimsy and arguable observations does not do you justice. You should be able to do better than that.

It has been my observation, that DELL has been very sober this quarter in statements regarding future growth of revenue and earnings
in order to reduce the volatility in the stock that they experienced last quarter as a result of overblown expectations.
