>>BRIDGES INITIATIVE

Not mentioned in many quarters is Bridges Initiative [Alberta - BIT], but impressive nonetheless. This company specializes in continuous and customized publishing on the Internet, with its focus on services and products for the career development industry. Bridges is one of the very few technology-based companies actually showing a profit from their E-Commerce. Bridges sells its online career guidance service by subscriptions to a large number of North American school systems, having captured a 30% market share in Canada and about 10% of all North America schools. Its subscriber base now reaches about 3,6000 middle and secondary schools in North America. Revenues in March 1998 nearly quadrupled those of March 1997. April's sales quadrupled. The company reported first quarter revenues in excess of C$1 million, which could spur Bridges to surpass FY1998 revenues of a little more than C$3 million. The company earned C$0.11/share in the fiscal year that ended December 31st. Page views in April nearly touched 3 million, which is quite impressive for a small company hardly anyone ever heard of. Bridges plans a major expansion in 1999. Visit www.bridges.com<<
