"..Unix station are something tremendously reliable because they are running almost nothing .. Oh really?. I currently have about 20 processes running. Multiple instances of Netscape, Brio, Oracle, Netscape Mail, several directory and calendar applications and a Office Suite with a word processor and spreadsheet up. I could bring up real audio, or my video card to tune in to piped in cable tv. it is a Sun low end workstation and it has not been rebooted in over 4 months.
