Richard,
Excellent point and if I may add further, the telephony systems today are also dependant upon the firmware logic residing physically on the Dialogic products. This software is owned by Dialogic under strict licensing agreements. It provides the translation between the computer operating system and the Dialogic hardware. Any attempt to replace Dialogic product would also have to take this software into consideration. Lastly, any company that decides to enter new or associated markets would have to make intelligent build vs. buy decisions that have sound financial footing. It would be extremely expensive for any company to invade Dialogic's market turf given their stranglehold on the technology and market. I would be more inclined to believe that these companies would be better off in partnering with Dialogic than in competing. I have heard these rumors many times in the past concerning Dialogic but have never taken them seriously due to the facts mentioned above and those stated by Richard. Just my opinion but if anyone disagrees, I would be extremely interested in hearing the reasoning behind the argument.

Later,
Crash
