You were twisting my word to fit your own purpose, period.
I twisted nothing. That article claimed that it was unusual that the meeting ended so soon.
That night it was unusual that the Chinese Ambassador ended the meeting earlier than usual, so nobody was in that room. Otherwise, perhaps most of the Chinese embassy people would be in heaven by now. Tell me this is just a coincidence?
It did not state WHY ending a meeting early was unusual. You twisted the context of the article by claiming that the limited agenda for the meeting allowed an early dismissal.
I'm personally VERY glad that the meeting ended early. Through that act of fortune a grievous mistake by the US was prevented from becoming an all-out war between our two people, a war in which both sides would suffer tremendous casualties and set back economic progress in China and Asia for decades to come.
It is the Chinese people and gov't who have twisted the contest of the US bombing to fit your own political agenda, terrorized our people traveling and doing business in your country, and INSULTED each and every American with you work with. (Have you discussed your views with your American working associates with the same vigor that you present them here online??)
You have taken a terrible mistake for which we have apologized officially, and for which NO AMERICAN I have heard has tried to justify, and stirred up hatred for all things American.
Yet even while you do this, you work in the US, use US technology to tell us how bad and evil we are, and have the freedom to stay or return as you wish.
Would I be able to be able to express my opinions as a resident of Bejing, as you have expressed yours here in the US??
The very fact that you can protest your disgust at what occurred in Belgrade, and your hatred of all that it American is a tribute to liberties that we enjoy and that you take advantage of.
I may disagree with what you say, Yiwu, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. (even if you aren't a US citizen).
Would you do the same for me were I living in China??
