Mike,

A year ago Sept/Oct (before the height of this mess) OTEX had visited ALTS offices in San Diego with supposive interest in buying Altris. Now, obviously, Altris does not have quite the same amount of leverage it probably may have had then, however, it surely deserves a second look given that the EB product is fully available, lawsuit paid for and addressed, and overhead reduction. The rumored buyout price then was $6/$7. Would it not be worth $3/$4 today -- with technically less problems to face in the "new" Altris.

It may not be OTEX, but Hummingbird, Solution 6, or any other of the many companies seeking out a solid DM product would gain all kinds of technology and a sure-solid customer list.

Regardless, ALTS is supposedly working out a deal (non-acquire) that could be announced as early as next Friday This will only make ALTS a more costly acquisition on a subsequent bid.
