Off topic:
On Asian culture, it has been my good fortune to have seen some fine exhibits in the last few years at the National Gallery of Art, from Cambodia, Taiwan, and Japan. Also, Baltimore has one of the finest permanent collections in the country at the Walters, and the Smithsonian has the Freer and Sackler.
Unfortunately, being like most residents of the Beltway, once I'm done for the day working in DC, I can't wait to get the heck out and beat the traffic home. But I hadn't realize the Walters had a collection. I'll check it out. Thanks. |
