Gold Discovery at St-Maurice.....
PRESS RELEASE May 13, 1999

GOLD DISCOVERY AT ST-MAURICE

Troymin Resources Ltd. (TYR - ME -ASE) and Osisko Exploration Ltd. (“Osisko”, ME-OSK) and are pleased to announce the results of a preliminary 3-hole drill program completed on the Bourgeoys block of the St-Maurice property, located in the La Tuque region of Quebec. The purpose of the program was to test the Tête Nord conductor, where a polymetallic sulfide stockwork was discovered last year during trenching. The best drill intersection returned 5.0 g/t gold over 1.77 m with associated copper, zinc and silver values.
The St-Maurice property includes 16 claim blocks covering 6114 hectares and hosts nickel-mineralized Proterozoic mafic/ultramafic intrusions cutting gneisses. The Tête Nord conductor is 200 m long and was verified with a ground electromagnetic survey and trenching in 1998. A 3.8 meter-long channel sample taken from the trench assayed 1.06% Zn, 0.68% Cu, 9.4 g/t Ag and 0.6 g/t Au, the stockwork being interpreted as remobilized volcanogenic mineralization. The drill program (total of 214 m) outlined the sulfide stockwork over a minimum 100 m strike length. The zone strikes E-W and is open in all directions. Assay results are as follows:
DDH Bearing/dip Intersection (m)Length(m)Zn %Cu % Ag g/tAu g/t

SM99-01 180°/45° 25.45 – 27.78 2.33 0.05 0.27 6.6 0.6
SM99-02 360°/60° NIL
SM99-03 180°/45° 29.03 – 38.07 9.04 0.64 0.22 4.4 1.6
(including) 35.38 – 37.15 1.77 0.50 0.38 9.7 5.0

DDH SM99-01 was collared near the north end of the trench and DDH SM99-03 was collared 100 m west of the trench. DDH 99-02 was drilled south of the trench to obtain geological data. All assays reported above were determined by AAS (base metals) or fire assay+AAS (precious metals) by ITS-Bondar Clegg Laboratories.
The mineralization represents a significant and unexpected gold discovery in the La Tuque area. The Tête Sud conductor, located 1 km SW of Tête Nord, is associated with zinc soil geochemical anomalies and is most likely related to a similar polymetallic stockwork. Although the discovery demonstrates gold potential on the property, the project remains primarily a nickel exploration play. A total of 7 airborne geophysical conductors remain untested on 5 other claim blocks of the property. Osisko, operator of the project, will proceed to a ground verification of these conductors this summer before implementing a second phase of drilling.
