<< (Give examples) ...rather than implying by generality that all bulls are naive, unreflective nitwits. Or is it your intention to be generally insulting to anyone bullish on Iomega? If the latter is the case, then you're simply a pig. >>
All right, I'll shut up for awhile. I apologize for the generalities. My fault.
The 'dreamland scenarios' that I'm referring to are the emotional responses I get to my posts whereby I try to describe specific problems with Iomega.
Examples:
Yesterday, I rationally described how a digital camera, flash and a PC could be used to cover 99% of the market, thereby rendering the expensive value proposition of the CLIK! useless. What did I get in return? The usual: personal attacks, 'your logic isn't the only logic', weird posts frantically defending the CLIK! with no better data presented.
When I proved that Iomega wasn't making money on OEM ZIPS (later confirmed by Iomega), What did I get? personal attacks, posts saying 'that doesn't prove anything', posts calling me Rocky, again, all with no better data.
When I presented the case that Iomega would lose money in 1998 because of the 'treadmill effect', what did I get? rational discussion? nope! Just more personal attacks, 'who cares, we are the leader', etc..
What do the bulls present: HYPE and ZIP units sales (which are meaningless). 90% of bullish posts are one of those two items, or personal attacks against the bears.
You can understand why I get irritated...
See you in a couple weeks!
