No way goofball!! duct tape (noun) First appeared 1970 1: a wide silvery cloth adhesive tape designed for sealing joints in heating or air-conditioning ducts 2: an emergency item carried at all times in the purse of one "Silver_7" of DGIV fame. Note: She once was responsible for repairing a train with this emergency product, thus making it possible for it to continue on down the track on schedule. 3: something used to wrap around smart aleck northerner's mouths who smart off one time too many. Caution: Southern gals are expert at this practice. THAT duct tape, Howard. (I bet you thought it was Duck tape, huh?? Nope, that would just be mean!)
