You can find all about Foveon at www.foveon.net or, more expensively, at www.gildertech.com. Foveon makes a camera of virtually unlimited resolution based on massively parallel analog microchip technology invented by Carver Mead of Caltech and described in his book on Analog VLSI. There is no development process except digitization, through a unique oversampling technique, for storage on harddrives for display, imprint, or transmission. Obviously the image can be no better than the display or the printer.
