Not DTN -- or at least not when I had it.

I would have thought DSL was cheaper than DirecPC. USWest just cut their rates for 256K service to $30. (Then you have to pay the ISP). So, they're coming down.

I pay $47 for RoadRunner cable. Yes, I'm spoiled. It's incredible.

OTOH, except for RealTick, which really needs bandwidth, I think I could live with 56K. I just flashed my modem to 56K, and I'm getting 50K connections and 40K downloads. My dialup (which I have as a backup for trading) is super -- they're never down and they give me the best connections because of their multiple backbone hookups. I didn't discover them until AFTER I had cable. Before that I was in ISP hell. My dialup is a local company. They even offer downstream 1MB wireless for $50.
