I have been thinking about the same problem recently. I use Fox Plus, web is way too slow. I was considering using Signal Online for realtime quotes (as backup to other stuff I have) and I wanted to download their new version, which they say requires IE 5.0.

However, Fidelity told me IE 5.0 would screw up my Fox software because of some things IE 5.0 does to the Windows system files. I don't even use IE at all, but have 4.0 installed presently. I really use Netscape for everything I do and could care less about versions of I.E.

But, because I need and like Fox Plus, I could not use the new version of Signal Online. It apparently is (presently) either one or the other. What a shame. I don't think Signal should be made for use only with IE 5.0 and I think Fidelity should figure out their software won't work if IE 5.0 is installed on the same computer.

What a waste! Why does everything have to be so complicated and troublesome?
