Very interesting if you saw this CMGI - LCOS possible hook-up back at the beginning of the USAI deal. Makes some sense for what has happened since then. DW may have had some "seller's remorse", accentuated by severe negative market reaction.

Although DW did not refer to it specifically today, after he made his "hallowed ground" comment about LCOS, one wondered if in retrospect he regretted "letting" Geocities go as well. In any event, he seems intent on creating all links along the entire length of the "net value chain." The Magnitude Network initiative, leading to iCast, seemed to highlight that: what did not get presented to him as business proposition, he took steps to create himself.

BTW, one other fact I forgot to mention in the earlier summary: at the meeting today DW said 1000 business plans were presented to CMGI in January and that # increased to 1500 in March. Hopefully, more picks of the litter to be coming along the way.
