CharlesR,

My comments on your comments:

>- ASPs seem about right for most of the products - all the price cuts for the quarter are likely behind us

I figured that todays price is a good average. I anticipate that Intel will cut prices again in a few weeks if the K7 really comes out.

>- your best case product mix is where it is at today. i.e., more like typical case (things should get better unless there is yield disaster)

It's where they said they would be ie, vast majority at 400Mhz and above. Sure hope its true.

>- Your mobile units and ASPs seem a bit low. Most of the top selling laptops are based on K6-2. From what I can tell AMD should ship well over 1Mu mobile units with an ASP around $100.

I think that lots of K6-2 mobiles use regular K6's not the mobile versions. Also we have heard that premium for the mobiles isn't much.

>- your K6-3 and K7 best case numbers have significant upside.

Well this is what one might hope for. But K6III's have been very difficult to find so I am not really convinced of that yet. If GTW/IBM announces the K6III's in a few weeks then I might agree with you.

Anyhow appreciate your comments and hope that my best case is truly a baseline.

Regards,

Kash
