Kathy - common with all carriers

The problem with copper is the tradeoff between distance and bandwidth - the more bandwith the shorter the distance - so current technology is only allowing DSL connections close to the CO, and most carriers are rolling it out in the most dense areas BUT there will be improvements in the line signaling and technology so that distance will increasingly become less and less of an issue - however, DSL promise remians hot and I am conviced it will not go the way of ISDN.
