The biotech melt-up should start any day, since I am just about at my breaking point. Oh, I have not lost any money, up 10% YTD, but this is like watching grass grow.
Here is a selection of mostly cheap biotechs, which was sorted by cash/share.
SNAP CTII BTRN NBIX AXPH GLFD REGN NPSP VRTX PDLI VLTS GELX SIBI CLTR PGNS ALKS ABGX AVIR LKST PCYC TTP PCOP CEPH OSIP MLNM LGND INCY CGPI CORR GLIA MOGN ONXX SUPG CELG PARS (courtesy of the biotech valuation thread)
I set up a portfolio on Yahoo, set the default view for detailed--then zoom down the bottom of the charts to see the stocks which are trending up now. There's plenty of stuff moving up, since about April...or you could look at MLNM since last fall, and just cry.
My micro biotechs were supposed to have been gobbled up by now so I could roll the cash into gorilla genomics. Nothing ever goes quite as you plan it though does it?
I used to think my cheap biotech darts were just as good as the next guys picks--and while I do have a few things from that list above, it looks to me like the money is trickling down to second tier biotech, with still very little interest in <100M companies.
My two cents for tonight, mainly I am generating noise to get up to my 2000th post, at which time I am going to get a paid SI subscription with an alias and start daytrading net stocks.
