I would like to be very honest with you regarding the quality of ACCR net.caller service. I think the voice quality is excellent on both end. Of course, it is still not as good as the regular long distance service. But in a 10 minutes call, I would say about 8 minutes you can't tell the difference. The way the software handles first few seconds need enhancement. It seems to me that when the receiver pick up the call, the server on the back end first say " please hold" to the receiver and then it forks a process to connect the receiver with the caller. So both caller and receiver feel there is a slite pause. Once the connection is established, everything works great.

Although voice quality is still not as good as regular phone call, it is more than enough for me to make very pleasant calls. On the other hand, there are a lot of features which regular most regular phone don't offer:

1. Quick dial buttons.
2. Dial list in the form of name and phone number mapping.
3. Call anyone while you still surf the net.

In my opinion, ACCR should use these good features in their marketing effort. $10 a month is good. But $10 a month plus those features which regular phone can't offer are better.

Finally, I called my friend in Canada and it also worked. (I don't if they will charge me more, though. I will watch my phone bill and let you know if call Canada by net.caller is free or not.)

Bo
