jack--I am enjoying the party too, with both UNPH and JDS, and I don't necessarily disagree with you. I guess that I could quibble and say that NT (LU too), I believe, outsources some of their components to JDS and perhaps UNPH. And I could offer that KK has assembled, by all informed accounts, some pretty fair R&D talent from Phillips in Switz. and from a couple other of the powerhouses I'm too lazy to look up right now and can't remember and which let these businesses go before they realized what was happening in fiber (and JDS has this JV with GLW). But...yeah! It's a bit puzzling. I guess a little .com in our jockstraps as the PM's and daybies bid us up because we are lighting up the internut and building the big, dumb bandwith and, well, yeah!...they will come. But solidity now, yet. No. Not until we see more of a substantial, credible trend that resembles the last couple of quarters and steepens and, perhaps, some innovations and synergies that will knock LU's socks off.
