if unph is in the process of generating the same modules, neither one has a lock. and all of it is produced in-house by lu and nt, whose personnel could leave for their own startups; for all i know alcatel too; pirelli too, but not very consistently as to fabrication quality. surely furukawa knows everything their baby jds knows. will competition commoditize these photonic products?
i keep asking this question. nobody answers, except pat wrote there are high barriers to entry, without saying what they were.
Bulldozer, you do more research and understand the technology better than anyone on these threads. what do you think?: if competition is coming in say 2 years (i have no idea if it ever will) whence comes 23 times sales as a valuation for unph, and whatever is the similar high number for sdli.
