What about getting in #3 May 17 EP in the AM? Also, you said HIBB & NMG triggered buys. Are they still good in the AM?
I must admit, I am somewhat frustrated by trying to apply your trading commentary on SI to my situation. At least half or more of what you report is impossible to emulate if you are not in front of a screen all day.
Like a bunch of Gemmers, maybe the vast majority, I work all day and am trying to trade to put the kids through college. I am not able to come close to your reported gains. I feel good if I can get one good trade in a day. . . out of two or three or four.
I get up in the morning, look at all the news and set my limit sells(if I am feeling confident in stock with good upside and limited downside) or I set my stops and try to lock in small gains or limit losses.
I come home for lunch, pour through your posts, and try to make some sense out of them for my situation. Is there something there that I can buy now? The "ALERT" was one hour ago. . look up stock. .what's the use, I won't be there to pull the trigger when I need to.
Spend hours at night trying to read all your posts, news, charts, etc knowing I have to make my calls on stocks before 9:00 AM CST (the very latest I can leave for work) and a half hour at lunch. In other words I have to decide by 9:00 AM CST whether to buy some stock. . so anticipatory upswing must be from the day before or from the first 30 minutes of the day. I read about those you say have triggered and have to decide if its still good the next day. HOW DO YOU BUY STOCKS UNDER THESE CONSTRAINTS USING YOUR INFORMATION?
My schedule is more flexible than most of the 1500 Gemmers, yet the postS we view from the regulars on the thread represent the daytraders, many of whom do this fulltime.
Frankly, your reported gains are frustrating to process because many are intraday, or EP's that you sell before the day ends at an intraday high, etc and far removed from the kind of restraints the average Joe internet trader has to live under.
I hope I do not seem ungrateful, because after struggling through Tokyo Mex's obsenities, I feel like I have found a home as a premium annual subscriber. And I have make several successful trades and have learned much from your educational links.
Just trying to say a word for the "little guy" out there who lurks, has a very limited "trigger" and maybe is in way over his or her head. Could we get a few of the watch list type stocks that are geared to those of us who can only work with stops? I'm not asking for a Pristine or Avid Trader service, I know your feelings about picking entry points, etc. We just need some help.
Thanks
By the way, in six months have doubled the "college fund." |
