Hi James, thanks for the explanation. That kinda confirms my suspicion in the sense that this is one rare case of M&A where the acquirer's share price not only doesn't go down much but also actually begins to rise [Note: as all of you know, the usual hedging formula is to short the acquirer and long the acquiree.] IMHO, the BVSI shareholders got the short end of the stick again!

I do not think BVSI will get close to 13.40 [probably it is locked in recent range] since it is almost a done deal. It is almost a done deal b/c both BoDs have approved it unless enough institutions pulled together to make noises. Unfortunately, this scenario is not likely since they probably have acquired the stock at the bottom and they ve enough return not to waste their time.

I am actually thinking of unloading my shares even at this price to free up my cash. Considering I ve quite a few shares, it's worth a pretty penny, but time is money <sg> Decision! Decision!
