Linda... Right now I am doing a lot of looking around for some good shorts. Currently shorts that I think are good bets are HEPH (shorted at 16) and WEBB (shorted at 12 1/2). Covered ALTIF at 4. 8 to 4 is okay with me even though I suspect I have left money on the table. HEPH claims to have some breakthroughs on an AIDS therapy. This one has me making some tough mental decisions. Love to see a cure for AIDS and naturally I would like to make money on my short. Perhaps this can in the long run be a win-win. HEPH has a LONG way to go as their only testing has been done on animals. I expect it to dip more before any real good news comes out, if ever. WEBB, is a company that claims to have SW to easily customize Web sites. IMO, this is not a unique capability. They are close to being out of cash and need some form of financing to survive. Do I hear more dilution? They are being promoted by Mr. Livitsky (sp?) who runs a pr firm that for some strange reason always promotes stocks that go up for a short while then down big time. He sometimes gets paid in shares of the companies stock. Not saying he is a paid pumper and dumper but that seems to happen. Read their SEC filings especially where they state that without more cash they will not be a going concern or words to that effect. Please note that I am not a big time trader and only trade )mostly shorts with some longs as a hobby. Funny in the greatest bull market of all time, I am doing better with short trading than long trading. I am retired and have my funds in MF and long term holdings mostly in Drug and Tech. stocks. Play around with 1-3% of my assets in shorts. Lots of fun when you can get gifts like ZONA, VVUS and ZITL. Not much fun when they go the other way. So far on balance I am having fun. Now that the weather is good, I spend less and less time chasing stocks and more and more time getting outside. Regards Bob T.
