Here is how it works: WAVO must market their software to the MSOs (local cable companies). If the MSO picks up the service, the software is downloaded into the set-top boxes of subscribers. Then the subscribers can use the WAVO product.

WAVO makes an application for the set-top box, not the operating system. The operating system (either proprietary, Java, Win CE) is built into the box. The applications are selected by the MSOs.

Of course, the application WAVO sells is pointless if you have interent access. But, it is good for generating press releases.
