If the city falls, "...many politicians, lawyers and professors in Zaire's capital think Mobutu's era could end." Associate Press ..... 8 Mar '97. "They see the potential for riots, political executions and an exodus of thousands from Kinshasa." In another AP article today rebel leaders claim to be moving in four columns on Kisangani. The Zairian army is so ill disposed to defend the nation that mercenaries have been hired to defend the city. Patrick
