Ray: IBM is a huge and respected company and they are a bunch of whatevers. Business is a tough game. How do you think they arrived at buying the company at a discount? They were willing to accept the additional payment that actually upped he price unfortunately that additional price was not shared by all shareholders. GEC is in on this as much as anyone and if they are not it will cause them to walk away from a potential class action suit. One blessing here is that if the deal were to unravel it would have put a price on FORE that will be a floor for further deals unless the market really takes a dump andthen all will be happy with cash.
