MB & Wayne - Ok, guys, a before-the-event analysis this time. My top contenders in alphabetical order.
Charismatic - Beat most of these in last. Still discount having run for a tag (see John Henry & a few others). At 6-1 Morning Line, a borderline flat bet.
Menifee - All know he ran a fine race, but if he lags that far behind again might be a case of too little too late. At 5-2 ML,in exotics only.
Patience Game - The now wow colt. Satisfies similar criteria met by the charismatic one in that one's last, namely an improving contender at high odds (30-1 ML).
Worldly Manner - Appears to be typical short horse. Surprised and scared the heck out of me coming out of the last turn. Shorter distance a plus.
Ralph W. - Fortunate to win last. Odds of repeating ideal set of circumstances slim but not impossible. Has risked making himself look the fool. Good luck to all, Ralph
