Warrants are now at around $2.25 if the stock goes to $16 dollars before Dec. 15, 1998 (when they expire) they will be worth more than $7.50 which is over 3 times what they are worth now, whereas the stock would have risen about 2.33 times in value at higher prices the ratio is more dramatic at $21 which is about 3X what the stock is now worth the warrants would be worth about 5.5X what they are now worth now
$21 - $8.44 (exercise price) = $12.54
at $35 stock about 5X higher warrants about 13X higher
So you get more bang for your buck assuming of course the stock keeps moving up and eventually gets above $8.44
Warrants sometimes get bid up even more dramatically if people get overly enthusiastic then you could short them against the stock.
In the short run warrants could double before the stock does.
