Trending markets trend down at the end of the day if the outlook is bearish. What effect will a quarter of a point interest rate increase have, other than to push bonds above 6%? The market will sell off, but how far? Certainly the economy can stand 6% rates, it won't slow down lending very much. But what happens to high multiple Internet stocks when the bears are prowling? I think we could see a downtrend with the nets until earnings.
