Kash,

Breakeven revenue is a function of ASPs and margins. The $830M break-even number quotes assumes a $79 ASP and some %GM (I do not remember the number from the conf call but I think it was 30%+). Given AMDs legal troubles, I would guess that the $830 number is sandbagged.

I would wager a small amount that AMD would break-even several 10s of million dollars below the quoted $830M number assuming ASPs stay at or above $79. But, we would not be able to verify the break-even point unless AMD is very close to break-even or, better yet, posts a profit.

Regardless, I do not believe most analysts give little attention to losses (profits) or the break-even point - any significant movement of the stock will depend on the status of K7.

From what I gather they are ahead of schedule on K7 and the launch is likely before the first week of June.

Good Luck (AMD investors need this given AMDs track record),
Chuck
