"Joe, perhaps one major point has not been clear: according to my data, the combined revenues for the 20 biggest retailers is currently $597.6BB. "

Since there are at least a billion people in the affluent part of the world, I am having a hard time with using $600 billion in retail sales as the amount available. Here is a quote that relates:
"The Census Bureau of the Department of Commerce announced today that advance estimates of U.S. retail sales for April adjusted for seasonal, holiday, and trading-day differences, but not for price changes, were $239.3 billion" from this web site
census.gov

If we use the stupid rule of thumb that the US is half of the world, and figure 12 months in the year, then I get $5.7 trillion in retail sales. In 11 years, growing at 5% per year, that becomes about $9.7 trillion. This gives me a 2.5% AMZN market share. Still pretty big, but....

BTW: Do you think Coke is 5x overvalued?
