Mark, agree. Somebody could write an interactive sales program for the iMac, and let it sell itself.

The key, IMO, is to keep it very simple.

iMac
one printer
one storage device (probably Imation)
Office
a few games
that's it.

Take 'em or leave 'em. Compare this to the confusion of your cornucopia of choices at the Gateway store. If people are computer novices, the tradeoffs are totally baffling.

The things can sell themselves, if somebody just writes the applescript and multimedia.
