Steve, Re: "If National is only planing on selling part of the fab (as some are now speculating),
there are going to be a lot of pissed-off people."

But Steve, the stock is rising and the notion that National is only looking to sell a "majority interest" is NOT speculation...it has been the stated intention throughout this recent runnup.

Furthermore, National IS also intending to keep the parts of Cyrix Technology they want.

Gilders report on Foveon is IMO going to be every bit as significant for National as he suspects. It's but the tip of the iceberg driving this stock. Oh, I sold my tiny stake in NSM the other day thinking it would fall before it continues climbing...I can only hope now that it will...and probably should have simply hung on.

"If you go back to the dawn of the 'fire in the valley', when Intel et al started to take off,
Intel won the contract for the original pc CPU over motorola.. not because their product
was superior, it was inferior in every way, save one: it was ready. "

Now I expect National will be ready first- and likely with the best products in their intended market- which is not currently a place where they'll butt heads with Intel- which Mr. Gilder noted months ago is not a likely path to success.
