Ah, yes. I see your post. Flat missed it. My mistake.

I see no legitimate US national interest in this military intervention in Kosovo. Of course, the Federal government has a great interest in this conflict because Kosovo affords a convenient "crisis" for Uncle Sam it to sally forth to fight for "humanitarian reasons" naturally. Good way to spend that pesky surplus. Of course, this assures the existence of NATO for another term.

Sadly, it seems to me, our foreign policy has now fallen prey to the same social engineering mission that dominates our domestic policy. It is the height of hubris to me that the same policymakers who have failed so egregiously to save "every fallen {domestic} sparrow" now feel compelled to save foreign ones as well.

It's a good gig, if you can get it - so long as it's someone else's money and someone's else's life. My final point - IMO w/r/t Kosovo the interests of individual US citizens and those of the folks that run the Federal government are very different.

As I suggested before, we have fundamental ideological differences about this question of international military intervention.
