Bridges Initiatives changes name Bridges.com Inc BIT Shares issued 8,799,250 May 14 close $4.80 Fri 14 May 99 News Release Mr. Doug Manning reports The company has changed its corporate name from The Bridges Initiatives, Inc., to Bridges.com. "Bridges.com more accurately reflects the nature of our business," says Doug Manning, chief executive officer. "Bridges.com is an Internet publisher, and we hope the new name will assist schools to more quickly gain an understanding of our products, and our corporate attributes. "We've developed the bridge reference for two reasons," adds Mr. Manning. "Bridges highlights the connecting nature of career development. It also reflects how we try to do business - by bringing education and business together in order to assist young people to make informed career and life transitions." A special resolution was passed in support of the name change at Bridges.com's annual and special meeting on April 7, 1999. A two-thirds majority was required to implement the change.
