Dan: You speak of triple-digit growth and are probably right. MRV is no ordinary networker. Go to www.nbase.de (Germany)(I'm sorry that I don't know how to make it a link.) Far tighter construction than the US home page. MRV has swallowed Fibronics (Noam's former employer) whole and is fast building muscle. Giant annual CeBit exhibition in Hannover opening this week will boost new-product awareness and Q1 sales across the range. Thanks to the Fibronics European customer base and more sales "feet on the street" - again, see www.nbase.de for confirmation that the acquisition integration is really being handled well, MRV will have greater sales in the new Germany (and Europe) than in Japan. Note that Germany (and Europe) are at an earlier stage of restructuring than the US, i.e lots of potential. Currency risks? International customers have the choice of paying the higher dollar or losing ground to competitors who do. ATM implementation is being delayed at many companies as ITOs wait to see what Fast and Gigabit Ethernet can do to protect existing investments. With a background in opto-electronics, a diversified, highly profitable and expanding product line by no means limited to LAN networking, MRV Communications is in it for the very long haul. Only an incorrigible fool would sell to a market maker at a price below what Intel wisely paid to prime the Gigabit pump. MRV is first to market with this technology, and by a stroke of excellent fortune, concurrently it lands a new customer base and an expanded sales team, for pennies - Elbit sold money-losing but superbly positioned (www.nbase.de) Fibronics because Fibronics lagged slightly in tech, ergo in profits, Fibronics is now ahead in both tech and profits thanks to the merger with NBase. Wonderful synergy, a B-school textbook case. The coming Q1 report should dispel the effect of sector doldrums. Fair price $24-$28 and higher by year end. MRV will be beating the whisper number for the next few quarters.
