<<Well... back around Dec.12 '96, 12 MILLION+ shares traded IN ONE DAY and
a ~2 point loss resulted. 2 points is not exactly what I'd call a drastic move for a
$20 stock (at that time). The point is, that for some reason, some people put on a
set of blinders (guised as "fundamental analysis") when it comes to this stock, and
fail to see any other opportunities that exist elsewhere in the market. I know a
couple of people personally who have this mindset and refuse to sell even when
they bought at $25-$30.>>

What you fail to realize is that the 12 million plus traded on that day were
apparently not all buys.. Judging by the end result, I would surmise
roughly 5 million buys and 7 million sells.. What we are talking about
is the imbalance of 20 some milion short covering in a very rapid
fashion thus throwing a huge inbalance into the daily buy/sell stream.
This ultimatly would cause the price to rocked as we look for equilibrium.

The true squeeze cannot occur until we hit the 26 mark. Then the shorts
will get crushed.
