For mobile access to your trading account, other than
Fidelity's and Muriel Siebert's pager systems, go to
investrade.com and open an account for $10k and you'll
get a free "smart phone" that will enable you to be
paged, get alerts, see your email, access your online
account, make phone calls, and yes, place trades. As far
as I know they are the first brokerage to offer this wireless smart
phone service but several competing products are coming
out later this year. If you open an account there with
less than $10k, you can still get the phone, but just not
for free. They (Investrade) also say that you can get
wireless contact with them via a palm pilot, but of
course palm pilots aren't as versatile ( or as
inexpensive) as these smart phones. I don't believe palm
pilots can double as a wireless phone, or any kind of
phone service for that matter.

This wireless smart phone service costs about $30/ month,
last I heard. Maybe that will come down in a year or so.
