LindyBill gets the Super Duper Award of the day. Yes, it was Geoff Moore who wrote that Qualcomm gave up its proprietary architecture and as a result is in a royalty game, losing at the moment to Ericsson the current king. Unbelievable.

A friend and investor in Qualcomm is following a gorilla thread Moore participates in. I've asked that she send me the URL so I can pursue the line of thinking with him. I wonder what he has to say about the hundreds of patents of CDMA innovations owned or pending ownership by Qualcomm. The man can't be completely oblivious to the basics of the Q's business model, so I'm fascinated about how he came to that conclusion.
