Inflation, another view:

"I think you'll likely see a tightening bias at the June meeting," said David Jones, an economist with Aubrey Lanston & Co. in New York. "And anytime after that, maybe at the August or October meeting, you could get a quarter-point tightening.".

I agree with Jones, who is a very shrewd Fed-watcher, except that I think a bias in May (i.e. this Tuesday) is a real possibility. The more difficult question is how the market will react if a bias toward tightening is announced.
