Great question. Unfortunately I don't have a great answer. I think we can see higher yields before we see lower yields and we can then see much higher yields before maturity.

I must tell you that I am "brain dead" as a trader. I don't trade for that reason. I like to think in terms of holding things to maturity or for very long periods. That's the way I think about stocks. I overlook quarterly problems and other temporary cyclical issues and look at the company's business position and prospects as far as I can see them.

I don't like bonds at 5.9% held to maturity.
