To everyone on this thread who has received IPO allocations from DLJ...

Would you please tell us how you think DLJ takes into account the following 6
criteria when determining if an account will receive IPO allocations or not...(I know
that the number of shares available for allocation and the number of IOIs for any
particular IPO are overriding factors, but for the moment let's assume that availability is
not an issue)..

1) Is it true that DLJ does not allocate shares on a first-come, first-served basis and
that the time your Indication of Interest is received will not influence your allocation?

2) How does account size affect allocations? Do you think there is a minimum account
size in order to receive IPO allocations?

3) How does tenure as a DLJ client affect allocations? Do you think Fidelity weighs
the number of months or years that the account has been established when allocating
IPOs?

4) How does account activity (i.e., the number of commissionable trades one makes in
a month) affect the IPO allocations one receives?

5) Does DLJ view more favorably accounts which are trading on margin (and thus
earning DLJ interest income) than cash accounts?

6) What influence does post-offering activity (e.g., flipping) in previous new issues have
on your future allocations?

TIA
Hersh
