KM is not dead. Per Karen Maxtor it progressing with design of KM drives. Sales are not flat read this from Standard & Poors. - Operational Review - 08-NOV-96 1996, rose 1.0%, as higher sales of data storage and instrumentation products offset a decline in sales of tel- evision and television aftermarket products. Gross mar- gins widened slightly, but with a 9.5% increase in oper- ating expenses and sharply lower royalty income, operating income fell 48%. We have been trying to tell the unbelievers that the core business is growing. Television products are declining and Ampex is letting them die a slow death as long as it is profitable. The newer computer related products are growing! DST growth doubled!
