In a simple deck of 52 the odds of the dealer having 21 are now 7 in 24. Whereas the odds of beating the dealers hand by just standing pat are 15 out of 24, with a push occurring 1 out of 11 times. Why would you pay for insurance with two to one odds, in your favor?
