Good job on the Forbes articles Maya. They have been all over C-Cube this week. Quite a change from the past! Intel taking a minority interest makes the most sence. None of the mentioned aquiring companies could take C-Cube over and maintain revenues. Toshiba/Sony/Thomson doesn't want to buy from Philips. Philips/Toshiba/Sony doesn't want to buy from Thomson. They all are looking to be big in DTV. C-cube is there selling bullets to posibly all of them.

I think the rumers that the Forbes articles are base on must have some merit. Somebody noticed that some investment banking activities are taking place at C-Cube. This could be caused by C-Cube and Intel talking about a minority interest, or, C-Cube planning a purchase of their own. Somebody is looking at C-Cube's books, but the price to buy them out maybe way too high.
