Very interesting indeed, mariner. There's been much conversation on the msft board about Bill's spending spree, and thus far no one has been able to tie it all together. Some have characterized it as panicky and non-persuasive to the investment community. This is the first article I've seen that puts the patchwork of recent investments into sharp focus. I hope you post it on the msft thread as well.
