On second thought...Charismatic was not just peaking for the day...More likely he does not like California racing surfaces but wins upper echelon events on Eastern racing surfaces...In fact its amazing that so may Kentucky-breds...(with their leg strength)...do well on the Calif tracks...(Plimco looked a little dead this year...and so that would have helped...Belmont is usually a very hard surface in July...)...
